I don't normally like covers, especially when it's a classic like Comfortably Numb, but this one is pretty good. It helps when it's Queensryche(one of my faves), joined by Dream Theater. Geoff Tate and James Labrie mesh quite nicely, I think, and the guy on the solo at the end is Dream Theater's John Petrucci.
I'm not kidding --- I was sitting here singing Comfortably Numb to myself when I opened this. I am going to listen to/watch the video now, I already know I will like it.
I, too, dislike many covers ... but I love both of these bands. Dream Theater may be the best, most technically proficient-yet-listenable band playing now. I'll give it a listen.
Like you, I am a huge Queensryche fan. They sounded pretty good. That must be an old clip. I saw Geoff Tate last year and he wasn't that heavy anymore, and he had hair.
